Position Overview:
We are seeking an Intermediate Architect with a passion for heritage conservation and sustainable design. The ideal candidate will be caring, curious, creative, and collaborative with technical knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in architectural design.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage architectural projects from concept through to completion.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure objectives are met.
• Ensure compliance with all local, provincial/state, and federal building regulations.
• Author reports and assessments.
• Participate in the firm quality control processes thorough all project phases.
• Develop and present project proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of the team.
Qualifications:
• Must be a licensed architect in a Canadian province and/or the United States.
• 3 to 5 years of experience post-licensure in an architectural practice is highly desirable.
• Experience in heritage conservation and sustainable design is an asset. CAHP and LEED certification is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, MS Project and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of architectural, engineering, building science and construction principles and practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
