Keewatin-Aski Ltd. Consulting Engineers, Architect is a team of experienced professionals practicing for over 30 years in Northwestern Ontario. We are seeking an ambitious, skilled Licensed Architect/Project Architect to join our architectural design team in a full time permanent position with a partnership option.

Required Education and Experience:
Professional degree in architecture from an accredited Canadian university or CACB certification; licensed membership with a provincial architectural association; ability to register as a licensed architect with the OAA.
Minimum 5 years practicing in an architectural firm including a minimum of 2 years practice in Canada since licensure.
Responsible for managing, coordinating, executing commercial, residential and institutional projects from the planning and conceptual stages through contract documents production, tendering and total contract completion.
The candidate will be responsible to the Senior Project Architect and Managing Partner/Senior Engineer in all aspects of a project including programming, design development, client presentations, working drawings, coordination of other disciplines, specification writing and contract administration.
Attend project and client meetings and perform site reviews; travel as necessary.
Manage technical staff, drawing files, manage project schedules and coordinate work of other disciplines.
Superior leadership skills with an ability to develop strong working relationships within a multi‐disciplinary team;
Strict time management and organizational skills, self-motivated, and ability to manage small project teams, balancing multiple priorities/tasks;
Strong verbal, graphic and written communication skills;
Ability to oversee the generation of design development and accurate detailed working drawings from unique project programs and technical requirements;
Ability to write technical design reports, proposals and technical specifications;
Fluency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, Excel, Sketchup and Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator;
Excellent working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, National Building Code of Canada, Canadian building and energy standards, current barrier‐free standards, zoning by-laws and the construction permitting process, building systems and detailing;
Valid Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
Ability to obtain required MGS and OPP Security Clearances
