The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the Architects’ Association of New Brunswick invite proposals for the presentation of continuing education sessions during the Festival of Architecture to be held May 30 to June 2 in Saint John, New Brunswick. The four-day Festival celebrates the theme Ports and Portals – Getting There from Here. The port of Saint John has been a link between the world and this region for centuries. It has been a portal through which people and products have passed on their way to their destination from their origin. Just as the port acts as the connection point to the rest of the world, hardware ports and technological portals connect us to people, places, and ideas around the world. The RAIC Festival of Architecture provides a connection point where architects and architecture develop and grow; it facilitates “Getting there from here.” Interested parties are invited to submit proposals on topics of interest to architects that align with one of the following five categories: - Ecology in Practice - Architectural Culture and Heritage - Fundamentals of Good Design - Evolution of an Architect - The Language of Architecture |
