In partnership with the North Vancouver Artists for Kids Trust, Architecture Canada | RAIC Metro Vancouver Chapter brings together local architects and K-12 students. Through hands-on studios, students learn more about the power of architecture and the elements that make it an asset to our communities.
Artists for Kids runs three sets of sessions of architecture classes per year. Each session offers one day-long class a week over the course of three weeks, where an architect or architecture team is paired with 18 students from across the North Vancouver School District. Architects develop class plans with North Vancouver teachers and help run the studios.
2013 marks Artists for Kids’ third year of offering architecture enrichment studios. The RAIC is excited to announce that the Architecture Foundation of BC has joined on as a partner in funding these programs, assuring the program will continue again in 2013/2014.
