Small Housing Summit – November 17th
On November 17, join us at the Small Housing Summit! The first of its kind in Canada, the Summit is a one-day conference that discusses, and more importantly, acts on the opportunities around smaller forms. Its goal is to bring senior-level housing practitioners in one room to collaborate to accelerate the uptake of small typologies across the province as a tool for urban growth. The day includes interactive sessions on design and financing, city pilot projects and two sessions as part of our Small Housing Challenge series (call for entries ends September 30), and ends with a co-joint networking event with BCNPHA’s Housing Central conference. The Small Housing Summit is organized by non-profit society Small Housing BC (SHBC) in collaboration with great sponsors and funding by the Real Estate Foundation of BC. Early bird ticket registration ends September 30; event will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in-person. (SHBC defines small housing as units 200 to 1500 square feet, or just enough space to live; this includes but is not limited to laneway houses, micro suites, cottage neighbourhoods, small lot homes, grow homes, tiny homes and more. See http://www.smallhousingbc.org/about-us/what-is-small-housing/ for more details.)
