A vision for Health Care

The Architecture Canada | RAIC Board has thrown its support behind a Health + Care Professional Interest Area (PIA) to encourage the collaboration of practitioners, academics, clients and regulatory authorities. This forum will allow for the open exchange of ideas and knowledge; where issues of health and the environment of care as it relates to Canadian culture and society can be freely discussed and debated.

The goal is to:

  • Raise the overall awareness of issues associated with this area of practice
  • Highlight the importance of health and the environment of care; in all projects
  • Develop improved quality of planning and design for health and the environment of care
  • Encourage communication and sharing of ideas across a range of disciplines from within and outside the profession

The following have agreed to sit on the steering committee:

Cliff Harvey, MRAIC, (Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care)
Tye Farrow, FRAIC, (Farrow Partnership)
Steve Bagworth, MRAIC, (Agnew Peckham)
Marie Fontaine, MRAIC,  (Infrastructure Alberta)
Annmarie Adams, MRAIC, (McGill University)
