APEC Architect Project
The member organizations within the Asia Pacific Economic
Cooperation Architect Project agreed to develop a database or registry
of qualified architects interested in providing architectural services in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada hosted the Central Council in August 2008 in Vancouver.
Each home economy (in this case Canada and the Canadian architectural profession) agreed to create a Monitoring Committee to administer
the register.
The other APEC member economies are Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, and the United States of America.
