This project was very impressive in its attempt to go beyond sustainable design features,
pushing the envelope of typical new features such as radiant flooring and a demonstration "green wall" to re-conceptualize the entire teaching facility for engineering students as a "live building". Viewing ports into construction assemblies, web cams monitoring construction behaviour and geo-technical movement, curtain wall of comparative spectrally selective glazing types, and web-based user-control of office systems are combined imaginatively with a compelling overall building design to create a stimulating research environment and teaching tool of the construction process.
