James Dow, is not only one of Canada's foremost Architectural photographers, but a true champion of the Architectural profession.

He brings honour to his subject matter, dedicated to conveying through his camera lens the ideal architectural intentions, and often new architectural insights. The nature of his work allows the best of the profession to be brought to light but, even further, makes possible a far-reaching appreciation of Architecture. James Dow has also contributed to the Edmonton's academic and artistic community, bringing in teachers to a city without its own school of Architecture.

Both James Dow and Philip Gabriel not only illuminate, but indeed discover the beauty of our work - one of them through exquisite photography; the other through exquisite lighting.

They have produced a body of work that transcends the possible while setting new benchmarks in their respective professions. We are indeed celebrating the "best of the best" with these important allied artists.
